With the principle to implement the Central Government’s “go global” strategy, the Hong Kong China Chamber of Commerce (HKCHCC) is established with the ardent support from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (LOCPGHK) and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), together with the assistance of the Government of the Hong Kong SAR and related local communities and organizations. HKCHCC is a Hong Kong-based business organization mainly composed of Chinese Mainland private enterprises investing in Hong Kong and overseas via Hong Kong.
By making full use of Hong Kong’s unique advantages as an international metropolis, HKCHCC strives to assist Mainland enterprises in absorbing capital and technologies as well as the introducing of talents so as to attain their goal to become larger and more competitive. With Hong Kong’s mature and internationalized intermediary expertise and its gateway effect of being a window and a bridge, HKCHCC has the incentive to facilitate the implementation of “go global” strategy and the internationalization of Mainland private enterprises, and in this way, to project the fine image of Chinese enterprises and products.
HKCHCC will unite Mainland private enterprises in Hong Kong and guide them to integrate into the local society and abide by the law of Hong Kong; meanwhile, as a prominent commercial organization with extensive connections, HKCHCC will also give strong support to the lawful administration of the Chief Executive and the SAR Government.
Scope of Service
1. HKCHCC provides the latest news and updates on global finance, law, science and technology, social affairs etc for its enterprise members and keep them abreast of the useful information in a quicker and more convenient manner so as to assist them in expanding into Hong Kong and overseas markets. HKCHCC’s information service also covers industrial and marketplace competition as well as crisis precaution which are urgently needed by Hong Kong and overseas-listed enterprises, export companies and overseas-invested enterprises.
2. HKCHCC will set up specialized advisory boards in order to promote co-operation between Mainland enterprises and Hong Kong’s professional service sectors and intermediary agencies. These advisory boards are mainly composed of reliable institutions specialize in law, accounting, financing, credit investigation, survey and marketing, environmental protection, quality standard, technological and intellectual property rights transfer etc.
3. HKCHCC provides secretarial, clerical and human resources services as well as notarization and certificating assistance for its enterprises members. The Chamber will also organize trainings, forums and seminars to familiarize enterprise members with political system, economic policy, laws and regulations, history and status quo, culture and traditions of their targeted investment countries and regions.
4. HKCHCC will set up country and region boards and facilitates enterprise members’ liaison with Chinese embassies and consulates as well as foreign chambers of commerce and industrial organizations. The Chamber organizes its members to participate in various international commercial activities to promote investment and co-operation. It will actively carry out public relations work with media partners to project fine image for Chinese enterprises and products.
5. HKCHCC promotes the exchange of ideas and information as well as the co-operation among its enterprise members; it serves as a platform for the sharing of business information and encourages all parties to complement each other.
6. HKCHCC facilitates its members’ investment in the Mainland and assists them in resolving difficulties; meanwhile, it also supports activities held by Mainland provincial and municipal governments in Hong Kong, such as investment promotion, training, official visits etc.
7. HKCHCC safeguards its members’ lawful rights and interests in Hong Kong, Mainland and overseas, and recommends its entrepreneur members to the Hong Kong and Mainland authorities to take up social affairs posts. The Chamber also functions as a channel for its members to integrate into the mainstream of the Hong Kong society, and it guides its members to abide by the Basic Law and contribute to the stability and prosperity of both Hong Kong and China.
